Trust built into the structure,
Not bolted on.
TICE handles your inventory and your data with no conflict of interest and proof at every step. The kind of trust you can audit, not the kind you are asked to take on faith.
No conflict of interest, by structure
TICE owns no inventory. It runs no captive marketplace. It resells nothing to itself. So it has no position to protect with your data and no reason to route your assets anywhere but the channel that recovers the most for you.
Most recovery vendors own the warehouses or the marketplaces your goods move through. That puts their interests and yours in quiet tension, and your data sits on their side of it. TICE removes the conflict at the root rather than auditing around it.
A certificate proves a process passed a review once. Structure removes the incentive conflict that the certificate cannot reach.
Your data and assets stay yours
Ownership of your inventory and your data stays with you until final sale. TICE operates inside your security and compliance framework, not its own, and operates under your MSA, your NDA, and your data-processing agreement.
In practice, TICE tracks your assets as they move from one vendor to the next, proves there are no gaps at the handoffs, and reconciles the economics back to you. Your data stays yours. The operational record that proves the chain held is what TICE manages, under the access your security team grants.
You set the standard. TICE operates to it.
Data removed first, destroyed only as a last resort
Destruction is not the default.
Level 1 - Remove first
When a returned device carries customer data, the first move is to remove that data so the device itself can be recovered and resold. That protects your data and preserves the asset's value at the same time.
Level 2 - Contain it
Destruction is what happens when removal is not enough, and even then it is contained: only the component that holds the data is destroyed where that is possible.
Level 3 - Last resort
Destroying the whole device is the last resort. This mirrors the NIST 800-88 standard's own hierarchy, from clearing data to physical destruction.
When destruction is required, certified partners perform it to the NIST 800-88 standard, with full documentation and chain-of-custody records, written into their SLAs and verified against them. The certification belongs to the partners who do the destruction. TICE's job is to choose the least-destructive method that fully protects your data, hold the partners to the standard, and give you the paper trail that proves it happened.
Proof at every handoff
Chain of custody is built in. Every transfer of an asset is logged. Every cost and every recovery figure is reconciled in the open. You can trace any unit and reconcile every dollar without taking anyone's word for it.
Transparency is a security property: nothing moves without a record.
Built security-conscious, down to the website
The same discipline shows up where most vendors cut corners: the public site. Every form runs bot protection and server-side validation, the site enforces a content-security-policy and encrypted transport, and data access is locked down by default. The marketing site collects nothing a visitor does not choose to submit.
It is a small surface. TICE treats it like it matters, because it does.
How we approach compliance
TICE operates to its clients' security and compliance requirements and signs the agreements that hold it to them. Where a client's program calls for a specific control, TICE builds to it.
TICE is building toward formal third-party certification and welcomes a buyer's security review: documentation, a structured walk through the posture, and direct access to the people accountable for it.
Vet us properly
Security questions deserve a conversation, not a checkbox. Bring your requirements. TICE will walk through its posture, share its security documentation, and operate to your framework.
